Introduction

This is a call for papers for the Project Controls Expo 2021 scheduled to take place on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th February 2022.

The shortlisted papers get an opportunity to present/speak at Project Controls Expo and also gets inclusion on the Project Controls Expo website (technical papers) section.

Please note:

  • All the approved papers will also be included on ProjectControlsOnline.com (unless the author chooses not to take up this option).
  • Papers are invited from around the globe. If invited to present at Projects Controls Expo, the winner will be reimbursed with travel costs (return economy flight ticket or economy rail fair and/or car fuel expenses at AUD 0.25/mile) along with a one-night hotel stay near the venue and an invitation to the attend the Project Controls Expo Awards dinner, on Tuesday 8th February.
  • Project Controls Expo can offer only limited support to gain any necessary visa required to enter the Australia and therefore, visa expenses and arrangement are the responsibility of winner/author.
  • Papers are invited for the following zones and must be within the domain of Project Controls.

“Real World” problems and issues are what brings the application of project controls alive. This case-study zone enables you to discuss the application of project controls and how they address the problems in a real-life project environment. This zone provides an opportunity to learn and share knowledge with others.
We treat Megaprojects as large-scale, complex ventures with budgets of >£1 billion They take many years to develop and build but make a long-lasting impact on the economy, environment and society affecting millions of people. Here you will discover how to use sound governance, while protecting the investments megaprojects represent.
The Masterclass Zone presents a fantastic opportunity to study and discuss the theory and practice of project controls. Our highly experienced project controls’ professionals from around the world, will provide seven educational presentations that enable you to build and enhance your knowledge and skillset.
We are dedicated to self-improvement so, the Innovations Zone is an incubator for bold new project controls’ ideas, and a place where they can be openly discussed. It provides a space for our experts from across the profession s to share concepts for managing projects, with new ways of thinking. In this way, 'best practice' rises to the top and new ideas are perfected.
We are delivering four half-day workshops on 29th November, the same day as our Awards presentation evening event and the day before the main Project Controls Expo event. These workshops will be organized by PCE directly. The topics in consideration are BIM and AACE workshop topic in Project Controls.
Speakers will be identified by the PCE team using the “call for papers” process. There will be two morning sessions from 09:00 to 12:30 and two afternoon sessions from 13:00 to 16:30.

Key dates in 2021


15 October: Abstract & Paper submission due
16 November: Notification of abstract acceptance / decline
3 December: Presentation preparation in the provided template
20 December: Notification of presentation acceptance / decline
23 January: Final submission with requested changes (if any)
8 & 9 February: Presentation at the Expo
